What each flight includes

The fields in every flight record, as shown in the example above.

airline	IATA airline code
latitude, longitude	Position in decimal degrees
altitude	Altitude in feet
heading	Heading in degrees (0–360)
groundSpeed	Ground speed in knots
verticalSpeed	Vertical speed in feet per minute
aircraftType	ICAO aircraft type code, e.g. B77W
registration	Aircraft registration, e.g. TC-LJA
origin, destination	Departure and arrival airport IATA codes
status	Coarse state: scheduled, en-route, landed or unknown
phase	Precise flight phase (see below)
lastUpdate	Last position update (ISO 8601)
dataState	Data freshness: live, stale (position briefly not updated) or signal-lost (no recent position)
dataAge	Seconds since the last position update

What is Wireum Data?

Wireum Data is a real-time flight data API that gives airlines live positions, flight phases and flight details for their fleet, for their own applications and internal tools.

What data does the API return?

For each flight: flight number, airline, live position, altitude, heading, ground and vertical speed, aircraft type and registration, origin and destination airports, flight status and phase, and how fresh the position is.

How fresh is the data?

Positions are refreshed from ADS-B sources every 5 seconds for your entire fleet. Every flight also carries a freshness state (live, stale or signal-lost) and the age of its last position in seconds.

Which flight phases does the API detect?

scheduled, taxiing, departed, climb, cruise, descent and landed, classified automatically so you need no post-processing.

How do we filter the data?

By airline ICAO code, aircraft registration or flight number.

How do we connect to the API?

It is a REST API returning JSON over HTTPS, authenticated with an API key. It works with any language or platform.
